Visiting the Magical Christmas Village in Philadelphia

Dec

I love all the Christmas decorations in Philadelphia every year! It always looks so festive, and December is a great time to visit Philly and see it covered in Christmas lights. One of my favorite Christmas themed places each year is the Christmas Village in Philadelphia! It’s located at City Hall and modeled after a German Christmas market with all kinds of shops, a huge tree, a carousel, and an ice skating rink (if you haven’t gone yet, the rink will be open through February!). I already put up a few photos of the Christmas Village in Philadelphia at night on my first Christmas decorations post, and these photos were taken during the day 🙂

The Christmas Village in Philadelphia was a lot of fun and I was able to get some Christmas shopping done, but it was pretty busy both during the day and at night. But it’s still worth checking out and riding the carousel if you have children!

The base of the tree was pretty neat!

I love that there’s a Liberty Bell at the top of the tree!

I loved the German market aspect of the Christmas Village, but I would love to go to a Christmas market in Germany one day! What does your city do to celebrate Christmas? Comment below! 🙂

Looks just like the Christmas Markets in Europe, and also similar to the Christmas Market in Chicago! Where I’m originally from in St.Paul, Minnesota, we don’t really have a christmas market like this, but I wish we did! Happy New Year Julia!

Beautiful photos! Looks like you had a great time!

Being to many Christmas markets here in Germany, the whole set up looks like a perfect copy — even the carousel ride! And I love the architecture of your city hall! 🙂 Did you drink glühwein??

  5. Love the buildings and the decorations! Such a festive town! I need to make sure to visit during Christmas time!

  6. If I didn’t know otherwise, I would’ve actually thought this is in Germany! The village is so pretty and the buildings are so charming! What a find!
