You can view the first part of my trip to Mexico on my San Luis Potosí, Mexico Part 1 post
I’m back with more photos of San Luis Potosí, Mexico! If you missed my last post on San Luis Potosí, Mexico (check it out here), I explained that I went there for ten days with my sister and parents for my sister’s junior world racquetball tournament. San Luis Potosí isn’t a tourist destination at all, so it was a great place to get a really authentic Mexican experience. It was a beautiful town, and I highly recommend it if you’re looking for a place in Mexico that doesn’t have any tourists (I saw a total of two tourists the whole time we were there).
This is the second part of the photos I took in the area around the hotel and tournament, and next I’ll be posting photos of the beautiful Old City! 🙂
You may have see this car in my sneak preview post! My alma mater, Meredith College, has a crazy tradition called Cornhuskin’ that’s hard to explain (as we say, “you just have to experience it”), but seeing these cars made me so happy!
I think these were stray dogs, and it was really sweet seeing them all sleep in the sun together
There were lots of beautiful, ornate benches
I’m not sure why, but there were TONS of old VW bugs all over!
Rooftop restaurants are pretty amazing
I kept thinking of the quote “So many cacti!” from Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt because there really were so many cacti all over the city
The carvings and ironwork were so beautiful!
I LOVED all the colorful tiles everywhere!
I finally found something with my name on it!
The view of the sunsets from our hotel roof were beautiful
Have I convinced anyone to visit San Luis Potosí, Mexico yet? 😉 Stay tuned for photos of Old City next week!
